Happy Saturday!!
This weekend is my once a month, three day-er. Had a great Friday filled with appointments and going to a new groomer for Daisy Mae. She did a fabulous job and Daisy looks like a different and of course, more beautiful girl. This groomer knew what she was doing! She let me stay in the grooming room while Daisy was being beautified. I have never seen her dripping wet....she looked so sad and all she wanted me to do is take her home. It was fun to watch, although I held a 5 mo. old Apricot Mini Poodle the entire time. His name was Aslain. He was such a lover-boy and of course, Daisy whinned the whole time I held him.
Today, I had a full list of things to do, but my DH, Nelson had other plans...or should I say his upset tummy did! lol He became pretty ill and spent all day either in the bathroom (I know...TMI) or in bed. But, I did manage to get a Pedicure in and a run to Whole Foods.
Oh yes....and I weighed myself this morning to start the day off...and I hit my first big milestone.....30 lbs in 31 days!!!!! I did do the happy dance all day and I couldn't stop smiling. Everyone that I saw the past two days from my Pedicurist to my hair stylist and my Physician noticed the changes in me and that made all the work I have done this past month, worth while. I called my Health Coach, Cheryl to tell her first. I was so excited I had to call her! I have some pretty amajing friends that I have met thru the Medifast boards and FB boards. I just want to tell all of you how important your support is to me...couldn't do this without you!
Well, I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Welcome to my life....Chapter 2
Hey Y'all......
Welcome to my first attempt at a blog. In December 2009, I hit a milestone in any woman's life that some consider the reason to hang up their attempts at a successful life and prepare for the inevitable trip to the retirement home. What am I talking about, you ask? The dreaded milestone of hitting age 50~~
Well, I had a whole year to prepare for that day. I planned, researched and talked with who ever I could talk to to help me make the decisions to how I was going to live Chapter 2 of my fabulous life.
The biggest hurdle I knew I had to overcome was my health. Being overweight my entire life, and trying every single program available in the USA, I finally found the life-preserver I have been looking for,
MEDIFAST!!!
First, I know it started with me...changing my mind-set, believing in myself and finally making the decision to change my health....for Chapter 2 of my life.
In the first 30 days being on MEDIFAST, I have lost 29 lbs!!! I checked in this morning with my wonderful Dr. just to be sure I was on the right track and if I needed to adjust anything to keep my success moving. He was so happy with my progress and so happy that I didn't decide to go the LapBand route. You see....In Oct. '09, I was desperate and willing to do just about anything to lose weight. He put me in touch with a Bariatric Surgeon and I was ready to get on the table and let them do what they had to do. I am so glad that I didn't go that direction.
Each milestone of loss, I will be posting new pictures to show my progress. I hope that you follow me and help me celebrate the new me I know I am going to be!
This blog will also be used to document the other fabulous times in our lives living to Finding Joy In The Journey!!
